U'rajul Tia is a character on the Balmung server in FFXIV. He is a Sunseeker Miqote, a feline humanoid race from FFXIV. He has ears and a tail, as well as mismatched eyes, one blue, one green, with slit irises like those of a cat.

His mother and father were of the U tribe. They left before he was born with the intention of starting a new tribe. When U'rajul's father was killed, and that fell apart, his mother settled in Ul'dah, where she became one of the famous "dancing girls" of the city. They were poor when U'rajul was young, but his mother worked hard to improve their situation, and ultimately succeeded. By the time he was grown, she had become a very well paid courtesan.

U'rajul has followed in her footsteps insofar as he earns his money as a dancer. It's easier than scraping together a living as an adventurer, he's good at it, and he's attracted quite a following in the process. However, he's never committed to the idea of being a full time courtesan, and he doesn't like the idea of being tied down to one brothel or another. Any extra coin he earns he does so independently and spontaneously. It's not always about the money. He chooses whoever catches his eye, but he does choose. In this, he's been accused of being reckless and rightfully so, but he is, at least, fairly capable of defending himself, due to time spent at the Pugilist's Guild.

Personality wise, he is clever, but not book smart, never having been formally educated. Easygoing, friendly, playful, and a terrible tease. He is loyal and fiercely protective of the people he calls his friends and family, notably the community of women he grew up with, and ultimately kind with a surprisingly sweet disposition for someone in his profession.

Note: For those familiar with the canon, I *could* play him as a very unlikely Warrior of Light and saviour of the realm just starting out on his adventures. That would amuse me greatly. But I'm just as happy playing him as a dancer, a sex worker, a random adventurer or some combination of all three.
